On Wednesday morning, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed a trilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He simultaneously expressed concerns about Russia amassing 50,000 troops at the northern Ukraine border.
According to Sky News, Zelensky stated that the Kremlin’s “strongest forces” are positioned at the front line in Kursk, western Russia. He believes that Russia aims to establish a security zone spanning approximately six miles.
However, he assured that Kyiv is taking measures to thwart Moscow’s potential large-scale offensive in the area.
Zelensky informed reporters, “Their largest and strongest forces are currently at the Kursk front, ready to repel our troops and launch attacks on the Sumy region.”
