Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today his intention to discuss the acquisition of new weaponry for Ukraine with former U.S. President Donald Trump at the upcoming G7 Summit.
Currently visiting Austria, Zelensky will head to Canada to take part in the Group of Seven (G7) summit on Tuesday.
“A major topic of discussion during my meeting with President Trump will be the defense package that Ukraine is looking to purchase,” Zelensky stated at a press conference in Vienna.
This planned conversation occurs as Ukraine continues its efforts to bolster its defense capabilities in light of Russia’s ongoing invasion, with international discussions regarding Western military aid and support still underway.
