PASOK is actively submitting a 60-page proposal to establish a preliminary committee that will investigate crimes disrupting cycling transport safety. This proposal implicates former Infrastructure and Transport Minister Kostas Achilleas Karamanlis along with his deputy ministers Michalis Papadopoulos, Giorgos Karagiannis, Giannis Kefalogiannis, former SYRIZA/ANEL government minister Christos Spirtzi, and his deputy ministers during office, including Nikos Mavraganis, Thanos Moraitis, and Marina Chrysoveloni, in connection with the Tempi tragedy.
While there is a caveat regarding Mr. Spirtzi, his name has been included in the proposal due to findings from Parliament and the Judicial Council.
PASOK MPs are currently gathering signatures for the proposal. They recently participated in a teleconference where Christos Kaklamanis, PASOK’s Head of the Justice Sector, provided them with detailed legal insights regarding the proposal.
