According to meteorologist Thodoros Kolydas, Sunday will see a reduction in instability, leading to a steady rise in temperatures by mid-next week, reaching about 4-5 degrees above average.
Crete and Boeotia experienced the heaviest rain on Saturday
The most significant rainfall on Saturday (May 31) occurred in Crete and the region of Boiotia, as reported by the National Observatory of Athens’ automatic weather stations. The highest daily accumulation, recorded in Metaxochori, Heraklion, reached 87 mm by 18:00.

The rest of the country will see some clouds and partly cloudy conditions, particularly in the midday to afternoon hours over the mainland, with local rain mainly in mountainous areas. Winds in the west will vary at 3 to 4 Beaufort, while in the east, they will blow from the north at 3 to 5 Beaufort, with localized gusts of up to 6 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea.
Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching 27 to 28 degrees Celsius in the Ionian Sea and mainland, 29 degrees in the west, and 26 degrees in the Aegean Sea.
