**”Vikentios”: Sabotage in the Balkans and the Painter-Spy from Alexandroupoli**
A 59-year-old Georgian expatriate was arrested in Alexandroupoli and, following interrogation, has been remanded in custody. He is believed to be connected to sabotage activities in the Balkans.
The individual’s recruiter, known as “Vikentios,” has already been apprehended in Lithuania. Authorities confirm that he served in the former Soviet Union’s military alongside the painter from Alexandroupoli, and has spent time in both Thessaloniki and Alexandroupoli.
According to sources within the Greek Intelligence Service (EYP), “Vikentios” has had ties with Russian secret services over the past three years. More alarmingly, there are reports indicating his involvement in sabotage operations in the Balkans, raising concerns that similar incidents could arise in Greece.
