TUI, the prominent German tourism company, has shown interest in adding Thessaloniki to its cruise ship itinerary starting in 2026, as announced by Mayor Stelios Angeloudis.
This development follows a visit to Thessaloniki by a delegation of senior TUI executives, who communicated with the Municipality and government to gather information regarding accommodations, cultural opportunities, and more.
“They are planning to commence cruise ship arrivals starting next tourist season,” the mayor stated, noting that the organization is also considering other potential investments.
Additionally, Angeloudis mentioned that France’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, Nathalie Delattre, is slated to visit Thessaloniki soon. He recently met with her in Paris, where they discussed the importance of enhancing air travel links between Thessaloniki and Paris, as well as connections to Marseille and Nice.
