Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban characterized the Trump presidency in the U.S. as a “significant cultural turning point” during his address at the international Conservative Political Action Conference.
In his opening remarks in Budapest, Orban stated, “We will not be submerged by a wave of wokeness, nor will we be overwhelmed by migrants. Donald Trump has restored hope for a normal life and peace to the world.”
The U.S. president conveyed his greetings through a video message presented at the conference.
In his message, Trump commended Orban, calling him a “remarkable man who commands great respect. He has excelled as a leader and is truly one of a kind,” Trump remarked.
Other speakers at the two-day event included Alternative for Germany leader Alice Weidel, head of Austria’s Freedom Party Herbert Kickl, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
