The community in Patras is grieving following the tragic death of a 59-year-old man who was fatally injured by falling plaster from a building in the city center. The incident occurred on Thursday night (May 22), and he succumbed to his injuries the following morning.
Married and a father of two daughters, the man was en route to a local clinic to visit his daughter, who was in labor at the time. He was tragically only about 200 meters from the clinic when the accident occurred.

Reports indicate that on the previous day, under still uncertain circumstances, plaster and marble fell from a fifth-floor balcony onto the sidewalk below. At that moment, the man was walking with his wife and was struck on the head. The apartment owners have been questioned at a police station, and a case file is expected to be opened against them today.
