The Political Committee of New Democracy is convening today, Monday, chaired by Prime Minister and party leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at the party’s headquarters. The main agenda item is the election of a new Secretary for the Political Committee.
It is noteworthy that Kostas Skrekas, the MP for Trikala and former minister, has been nominated for this role.
Sources indicate that the Prime Minister will address the committee, highlighting achievements since 2019 across various sectors including foreign policy, the economy, and everyday life. He will also outline the policy directions the government intends to pursue over the next two years leading up to the 2027 elections.
Additionally, government insiders expect Kyriakos Mitsotakis to preview New Democracy’s position in Parliament on Wednesday regarding the debate on forming a preliminary investigation committee for the Tempi incident.
