The crash of an Air India plane in Ahmedabad, India, has been captured in a viral video circulating on social media.
The aircraft went down shortly after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, heading to London’s Gatwick this morning (GMT).
As reported by IndiaToday, the flight was carrying 242 individuals, including 230 passengers and 12 crew members.
Initial images from the scene depict burning debris and thick black smoke billowing into the sky near the airport.
