The PSIM antenna mast was installed today by Naval Group, in collaboration with the Navy’s escort on the FDI frigate HS Formion, which is set to launch on June 4 in Lorian, Bretan.
Significantly, the PSIM (Panoramic Sensor & Intelligence Module), weighing 150 tons and standing 42 meters high, is an integrated mast that accommodates multiple sensors, including radars, electronic warfare systems, and identification friend or foe (IFF) mechanisms.

This system offers 360-degree coverage, allowing for the search, tracking, and classification of targets both at sea, on land, and in the air.

The HS Formion, the latest FDI frigate for the Hellenic Navy, was launched yesterday, with part of its crew on-site to oversee the ongoing work.

In the meantime, advanced trials are underway for the HS Kimon, with plans for trials on the third FDI frigate in the series, HS Nearchos, to commence at a later date.
