A meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis and EU Ambassadors highlighted the revamped image of the Greek economy and the government’s key priorities going forward. In a social media post, Hatzidakis stated:
“Greece is making a strong comeback and is now an attractive destination for investment! Thanks to the initiative of the Polish Embassy and Ambassador Wojciech Ponikiewski, I was able to present to the Ambassadors from all EU member states, as well as Norway and Switzerland, the refreshed outlook of the Greek economy along with our government’s main priorities.
Our nation has turned the page on a decade of crisis. The Greek economy is experiencing rapid growth, driven by a combination of fiscal stability, an investment-friendly environment, and essential reforms. Going forward, we will focus on enhancing our economic competitiveness and increasing investment further. We are committed to advancing necessary reforms, including the digitalization of government services, expediting the judicial process, and combating tax evasion, all aimed at fostering genuine convergence and significantly improving incomes for all Greeks, particularly the economically disadvantaged.
Greece is gradually evolving into a more modern and European nation, characterized by political and fiscal stability. We must continue along this path with common sense, professionalism, and a sense of responsibility!”
