The first church donation box with POS: Tourists requested it, the Church made it happen – In which church it was installed

A new chapter begins for church attendees with the official launch of a POS terminal integrated into a church donation box. This innovative system is now live at the Church of Saint Dionysius the Areopagite in Kolonaki, allowing visitors to make contactless card donations.

The church’s priest noted that tourists had frequently requested this feature, as many often do not carry cash. This development aims to enhance convenience for the congregation.

The device is capable of processing even very small donations, starting from just one cent, with a maximum limit set at €1,000.
