Papastratos is dedicated to fostering a healthy, modern, and humane work environment. This dedication has once again been acknowledged, as the company has been named “The Most Attractive Employer in Greece” for 2025 by the Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR)—marking the fifth consecutive year of this honor.
This research stands as the largest and most comprehensive independent study on employer branding globally, assessing the reputation and appeal of major employers among the general population. The survey emphasizes key factors influencing employer choice, including competitive salaries and benefits, job security, career growth, a healthy work-life balance, and social responsibility.
Additionally, the survey highlights the essential criteria affecting candidates’ employer selections. In Greece, this study has been ongoing for eight years. For 2025, it surveyed 3,576 individuals aged 18 to 65—including employees, students, and the unemployed—evaluating 150 of the largest companies in the country by employee count.

Papastratos has secured 1st place for the fifth consecutive year, an unprecedented achievement in the Greek market.
This honor solidifies Papastratos’s reputation as an employer of choice in Greece, reaffirming its commitment to cultivate an environment conducive to skill development and empowerment.
In light of this recognition, Maria Patakiouti, General Manager of People and Culture at Papastratos and N.A. Europe of Philip Morris International, stated: “This award reflects our continuous efforts to establish a workplace where every individual feels valued and empowered. The trust shown by our employees and candidates reinforces our responsibility to continue #prostokalytero and invest meaningfully in our workforce.”
Papastratos has also reaffirmed its status as an Equal Pay & Opportunities employer, receiving the Equal Pay & Opportunities certification from the EQUAL-SALARY Foundation. Since becoming the first—and for several years the only—company in Greece to achieve this certification in 2019, Papastratos has maintained its compliance, demonstrating a long-term commitment to gender equality. The latest recertification is valid until 2028 and includes two intermediate audits to ensure continued compliance and transparency. This benchmarking process allows companies to verify that all employees receive fair compensation for the same role or equivalent work. The certification applies to organizations with more than 50 employees, regardless of industry or location.
The EQUAL-SALARY Foundation collects and analyzes pay data anonymously and securely. The audit process assesses the presence of a fair pay policy, leadership’s commitment to equality, the integration of equal opportunity strategies into HR practices, and employee perceptions of company policies. This recertification serves as concrete evidence of Papastratos’ dedication to equality, transparency, and fair treatment of its workforce.
