Residents in the Lakka area of Sparta spotted a snake over a meter long in their yard and promptly alerted the Fire Department. A firefighter quickly arrived at the scene, equipped to handle the situation. He successfully captured the snake and relocated it to a safe, natural habitat away from homes.
According to FlyNews, the snake was identified as a lafiatis, a harmless and non-venomous species commonly found in southern Greece.
The entire operation was carried out without posing any threat to the public.
