Russian vessels struck in the June 1 Ukrainian assault have not been entirely destroyed but are repairable, stated Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov today.
In an interview with the state news agency TASS, Ryabkov remarked, “The equipment in question, as confirmed by Defense Ministry representatives, was damaged but not destroyed. It will be restored.”
According to two U.S. officials who spoke with Reuters, U.S. estimates suggest that the Ukrainian drone strike last weekend affected up to 20 Russian warplanes, with about 10 of those being destroyed—this figure is roughly half of the estimate provided by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Vladimir Putin informed U.S. President Donald Trump in a phone conversation yesterday that Moscow needs to respond to the June 1 attack.
