While he isn’t particularly keen on playing on clay, Nick Kyrgios has chosen to make his return to Roland Garros this year.
This time, he will not be competing in the singles but will partner with Jordan Thompson in the doubles. The tournament kicks off in Paris on May 25, marking Kyrgios’s first appearance in eight years.
His last singles match at the French Open was in 2017, where he was knocked out in the second round by Kevin Anderson. “The French Open wasn’t part of my plans, but Jordan needed a partner and invited me to join him,” he explained.
In 2022, the Australian player won the doubles title at the Australian Open alongside Thanasis Kokkiniakis and reached the Wimbledon final that same year.
In 2023, Kyrgios participated in only one match, but he has five scheduled for 2025!
