In the aftermath of the US attack on Iran‘s nuclear facilities, numerous questions have emerged as new evidence surfaces.
Donald Trump asserted that Tehran’s nuclear program has been dismantled, but Iran contends it had relocated its enriched uranium prior to the assault.
Trump described the US military strikes on the three Iranian nuclear sites as a “spectacular military success.” He stated, “Tonight, I can inform the world that the strikes were a remarkable achievement. Iran’s crucial nuclear enrichment facilities have been entirely eliminated,” during his first public comments since the attacks.
Iranians claim they moved enriched uranium to a secure location before the US bombings
According to information reported by Reuters, much of the highly enriched uranium stored at the Fordo facility was relocated shortly before the airstrike.
A senior Iranian source indicated that the material was shifted to an undisclosed location without providing further details. This source also noted that the workforce at the facility was significantly reduced prior to the attack.
Recent satellite imagery of Fordo taken two days ago shows lines of trucks outside the facility, suggesting that Iranian authorities took precautionary steps to transport sensitive nuclear materials.

This relocation might explain why the damage inflicted by the US strikes did not result in material leaks or other hazardous consequences, although the extent of the damage is still unclear.
IHRC: No significant radioactive leak from Isfahan bombing
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported today that the recent US strikes in Isfahan, Iran, targeted six buildings, which, based on their assessment, housed little to no nuclear materials.
The Agency’s official statement clarified that the affected facilities contained either no nuclear material or had “small quantities of natural or low-enriched uranium.” As a result, radioactive contamination is deemed minimal and limited to the impacted structures.
Based in Vienna, the IAEA is closely monitoring the situation in Iran and emphasizes the importance of transparency and protection of nuclear facilities amidst geopolitical tensions. It was also noted that four buildings in the same complex had previously been destroyed in earlier strikes.
