Hellenic Police investigators are working to clarify the details surrounding the violent assault of a 50-year-old man in Glyka Nera by a minor.
The alleged aggressor, a 17-year-old, has been detained. As reported by protothema.gr, the teenager is known for his aggressive behavior and had previously been under the care of a child psychologist.
Upon his arrest, the minor claimed he attacked the 50-year-old in response to a threat made against his sister the day before.
Evidence gathered by authorities suggests that the assailant struck the victim, causing him to fall to the ground.
Reports of the attacker using a scooter as a weapon remain unverified, as the medical examiner stated that the injuries sustained by the victim were due to the fall and blows from fists.

The incident, which led to the victim being hospitalized at Evangelismos Hospital’s ICU, occurred on the night of May 19 outside a primary school in Glyka Nera.
It has since been revealed that the 50-year-old has mental health issues and had previously been institutionalized for these conditions.
A case file is being prepared for the 17-year-old suspect, charged with attempted homicide.
