The saga continues regarding the former journalist, public relations expert, and self-proclaimed travel consultant who lured businessmen into believing they would experience an unforgettable trip to Abu Dhabi for the Euroleague Final Four from May 23-25. Unfortunately, it seems this dream will remain just that — a farce, as they will now be watching the games from their own living rooms. Beneath the glamorous facade and luxurious promises of her travel packages lies a complicated and troubling narrative.
New revelations suggest that, in addition to her roles in journalism and luxury travel, she also claimed a more dubious position: serving as an informant between Palestine and Israel, allegedly undertaking missions in Gaza to support a war correspondent for a Greek television station.
In an interview with protothema.gr, she shared her perspective, claiming she fell victim to deceit herself, stating, “I gave the money to someone who assured me they had connections for the tickets.” With this remark, she attempts to deflect blame, insisting she previously worked on church-related news for a major channel and had recently been acting as a PR professional linked to the Jerusalem Patriarchate.
Reports indicate that at least 30 individuals — including businessmen, shipowners, and public figures — deposited over €70,000 in hopes of securing seats on a charter flight to Abu Dhabi and VIP tickets that turned out to be nonexistent. She crafted the scam to appear as an upscale, organized trip, sharing images of the aircraft, showcasing promotional materials featuring the Final Four logo, and falsely asserting that the flight was arranged “in the name of a reputed company” in the tourism and luxury travel sector. None of these claims were true.
When approached by protothema.gr for clarification, she did not deny her involvement but adopted a defensive stance, asserting she too was scammed. She again stated, “I gave the money to someone who told me he had connections for the tickets,” trying to shift the blame to an unidentified third party without revealing their identity, relationship to her, or why all funds were deposited into her personal bank account in Chania.
She even asserted that “by late tonight, she will have the tickets” and that “everything will be fine,” while numerous individuals remain stranded — without tickets, flights, or crucially, their funds. Among them is a businessman who deposited €11,700 for himself and his 12-year-old son, only to now explain that they will be watching the Final Four from home.
The situation escalated with a new complaint from a lawyer who informed protothema.gr that the same woman had swindled him out of €11,700 for another trip, this time to Los Angeles and Hawaii, which also never materialized. The lawyer indicated he has initiated legal proceedings and has information on at least 20 other victims who have suffered similar scams from the same individual, consistently following a pattern: luxurious trips, VIP promises, deposits into personal accounts, and ultimately… nothing.
The complaints reveal a disturbing trend: a woman repeatedly persuading financially secure individuals that she can provide access to “confidential lists” or “exclusive seats” for high-profile trips, leveraging her background as a former journalist with supposed deep connections in church and political circles. Whether it’s the Euroleague in Abu Dhabi or tropical locations like Hawaii, the outcome is always the same: funds vanish, and she consistently claims… someone else is at fault.
Reliable sources indicate that several victims from the Abu Dhabi case have gathered evidence — bank deposit slips, text exchanges, and photographs — and intend to approach both the Cybercrime Unit and Financial Police, seeking an investigation for fraud and possible money laundering.
Authorities are also expected to investigate her alleged accomplice, a man who claims to be a cryptocurrency expert and is alleged to manage digital wallets where substantial sums connected to these incidents may have been transferred.
