Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that the vote of confidence for his government—called in response to the opposition candidate’s victory in the presidential election—is scheduled for June 11.
“The vote of confidence in the government will occur on Wednesday, June 11,” Tusk stated prior to a cabinet meeting.
According to official results released yesterday, Karol Navrotski, backed by the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party, secured 50.89 percent of the votes, while pro-European candidate Rafal Traskowski received 49.11 percent in the presidential election’s second round.
