The Greek Police (EL.AS.) are actively investigating the abduction of a baby from a supermarket in Alimos, prompted by a report from a 43-year-old Roma woman.
The suspect is described as a dark-haired man, aged between 35 and 40, and authorities are currently searching for him. Protothema.gr has acquired photos depicting the man carrying the baby within the supermarket.

The child’s grandmother recounted that the man approached her, claiming he needed to buy items for the baby. She handed him the child, and he then vanished. Fortunately, the baby was found hours later by a local resident in Alimos.

In a related development, the baby’s grandmother has been found guilty and sentenced to three months in prison. A magistrate court, where she faced charges of endangering a minor, decided on a two-year sentence, with a partial execution of three months and the suspension of the remaining term for three years.
