Vishwos Kumar Ramesh, 39, was aboard the aircraft that crashed shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad, India, on Thursday, according to reports from Indian media. Remarkably, he survived the incident.
Tragically, over 200 passengers did not survive.
Ramesh, who was seated in 11A, recounted that he quickly got up and fled following the crash.
An image from the Hindustan Times shows him in the hospital with minor facial injuries, along with injuries to his chest and legs, but he was alert enough to communicate.
A British citizen residing in India for over 20 years, Ramesh had returned to visit his family.
His brother, Ajay, 45, was also on the flight but was seated in a different area. Vishwos has been searching for him but has not yet found him.
