Toni Kontaxakis recently shared an emotional story about Elena Paparizou’s support for Klaudia, revealing that the famous singer secretly funded the young artist’s scholarship at his conservatory. He reminisced about meeting Klaudia, who brought Greece to 6th place with her song “Asteromata.” He noted that upon hearing her audition for “The Voice,” he realized he had never encountered such a unique voice before; her talent left him genuinely amazed.

During an appearance on the TV show Super Katerina on Tuesday, May 20, Kontaxakis elaborated:
“Elena Paparizou covered the cost of her scholarship without her knowing. I also decided to offer her an additional year to help with her long commute from Aspropyrgos to Palaio Faliro.”

Reflecting on his first encounter with Klaudia, he said:
“I remember she was around 17 years old when she auditioned for The Voice — I was the music director at the time — and she came in with just a piano. I asked her what she wanted to sing, and she replied, ‘Roxanne by The Police.’ When she started to sing, I was completely taken aback. I had never heard anything like it.”
