Matias Lesor made every effort to prepare for the crucial games of the season for Panathinaikos. However, despite being in Abu Dhabi, the French center has been excluded from the seven-man foreign roster for the Stoiximan Greek Basket League finals.
This means that Ergin Ataman will have to face tough matchups against Olympiacos without Lesor’s support, which are critical for securing the season’s championship title.
The decision not to include Lesor in Panathinaikos’ lineup for the domestic finals stems from his inability to be fully ready for such a demanding series.
Although he participated in the EuroLeague Final Four, Lesor feels he’s not equipped to manage high-intensity games every 48 hours. This became apparent during the last two training sessions with Panathinaikos.
Consequently, the Green’s foreign rotation will now feature Lorenzo Brown, Cedi Osman, Jeryan Grant, Kendrick Nunn, Wayne Gabriel, Juancho Hernangómez, and Omer Yurtseven.
