In a recent press conference, Benjamin Netanyahu asserted that Israel has a “well-organized” strategy to fulfill its military objectives in Gaza, stating that the conflict has “a clear and justified purpose.”
During the conference on Wednesday, Netanyahu reiterated the operation’s three primary goals: “To defeat Hamas, to recover all our hostages, and to ensure that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel.”
He emphasized that implementing Donald Trump’s plan for the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza is essential for concluding the war.
These objectives are interconnected, and “we must fully achieve them,” he stressed.
Netanyahu confirmed that there are 20 hostages currently alive in Gaza and “up to 38” who have been killed, reaffirming the commitment that “we will bring them all back.”
He addressed the pressures Israel has encountered, both from the international community and domestically. The Prime Minister highlighted a series of successes Israel has achieved against Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran, distancing himself from the pressures.
“We have not yet said our final word” regarding the Houthis in Yemen, he noted.
He also dismissed rumors about the fate of Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar, stating, “We have obviously killed him.”
Concerning Iran, he remarked that it “continues to be a serious threat to Israel” and emphasized that Israel is “in full coordination with the USA. We are in constant communication with them, and we hope to reach an agreement to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.”
