Russia is actively developing a draft memorandum outlining the foundations for a future peace agreement aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine, as stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova today.
In a recent phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed Moscow’s readiness to collaborate with Ukraine on a memorandum for a prospective peace deal.
Zakharova confirmed that the draft is still under development, and once finalized, it will be presented to Ukraine.
“Russia is continuing to formulate a draft memorandum for a future peace treaty, which will outline principles such as the terms of settlement, the timeline for a potential peace agreement, and the possibility of a temporary ceasefire, pending suitable agreements,” she remarked.
