The “Jet2 Destination Partnerships” workshop held in Leeds highlighted the challenges of fostering collaborations in the UK tourism market and boosting the number of British travelers visiting Greece. Organized by Jet2, the event featured the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) for the UK and Ireland.
This year, Jet2.com has enhanced seat availability to favored Greek destinations, including Rhodes, Corfu, Crete, and Kos, increasing capacity by 17,000. Additionally, they have introduced three new destinations (Poros, Aegina, Leros) and eight new flight routes from Bournemouth, Luton, and Bristol, including an exclusive service to Kalamata.
Over 40 partners from national and local tourism organizations, along with senior Jet2.com and Jet2holidays executives, participated in the meeting. The agenda featured presentations and thematic panels aimed at strengthening partnerships and facilitating discussions on vital industry topics such as sustainability, UK market trends, extending the tourist season, and maximizing joint advertising campaigns.
Jet2 has positioned itself as a trusted option in the UK market, providing services directly to a vast audience and collaborating with well-known Online Travel Agencies like loveholidays, On the Beach, and Expedia.
Each year, Jet2 transports hundreds of thousands of British tourists to Greek islands and mainland destinations, operating 320 weekly flights to 14 Greek airports, including Athens, Corfu, Chania, Heraklion, Kefalonia, Thessaloniki, Kos, Kalamata, Lesvos, Preveza, Rhodes, Skiathos, Santorini, and Zakynthos.
They also offer over 1,500 hotel options across 22 Greek destinations, including 125 new properties set to open in summer 2025.
