Pakistan breached a previously agreed-upon ceasefire with India on Saturday following four days of conflict along the border, as reported by a source close to the Indian government to AFP.
In Srinagar, the largest city in Indian Kashmir, multiple loud explosions were reported early Saturday evening (afternoon in Greece), leading to power outages, according to journalists on the scene.
Omar Abdullah, the Chief Minister of Indian Kashmir, confirmed the situation, expressing his concern on X by saying, “What the hell happened to the ceasefire? Explosions can be heard all over Srinagar.”
As of now, neither country has officially commented on these events.
Recent reports from Western media indicate that planned power cuts have become a regular occurrence in the region.
Earlier today, Reuters revealed that residents in Jammu city were targeted by drone attacks mere hours after the ceasefire was declared.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing explosions and observing missiles in the sky.
