This isn’t the first time Mario Hezonja has praised Georgios Bartzokas—and it certainly won’t be the last.
Just hours before the crucial second game against Olympiakos at the SEF during the Euroleague playoffs, the Real Madrid star from Croatia shared his thoughts on the difficulties of facing the Piraeus team, specifically mentioning Bartzokas.
“I think he’s an outstanding coach. He has a clear vision and understands basketball from an objective point of view. They have three different lineups to contend with, and you really need to be at your best to defeat them,” Hezonja remarked, praising Bartzokas.
In fact, this isn’t the first occasion Hezonja has expressed admiration for the Olympiakos coach. Prior to last year’s Final Four semifinal in Berlin, he once again commended Bartzokas.
“He has the best coach, and he has the players he wanted for his system,” Hezonja noted before that matchup.
