In an impressive feat, a pastry shop near Paris has officially set the Guinness World Record for the longest Fraisier cake, measuring an astonishing 121.88 meters. This monumental creation was comprised of approximately 350 kilos of strawberries, 150 kilos of sugar, 415 kilos of pastry cream, and 4,000 eggs.
This achievement allowed France to reclaim the title, previously held by Italy since 2019 with a 100.48-meter-long cake.
The initiative was spearheaded by Maison Heloise, a renowned patisserie located in Argenteuil, a northern suburb of Paris. The record-breaking cake was elegantly displayed across a series of tables at the Argentaille ice rink for the local community to admire.
Pastry chef Youssef El Gatou, who has been inspired by Guinness World Records since his childhood, led a team of over 20 confectioners from various shops. The cake, weighing in at 1.2 tons, required a week of painstaking preparation, while the setup took place overnight and extended well into the next day.

To meet the requirements of the Guinness World Records committee, the Fraisier cake had to maintain a minimum width and height of 8 cm and be constructed as a single piece, rather than multiple sections.
Once the record was confirmed, the celebratory atmosphere was amplified by the playing of the French national anthem. “This is a truly quintessentially French dessert,” remarked Mayor Georges Mothron, emphasizing that the record symbolizes not just a confectionery milestone but also pays homage to the beautiful regions of France.
Residents of Argenteuil were delighted to leave the rink with a piece of the gigantic dessert. One mother, visiting the event with her children, expressed her amazement: “I’ve heard of the biggest couscous and the biggest paella in the world, but I’ve never seen anything quite as sweet as this!”
