During its third meeting for 2025, the Interministerial Committee for Strategic Investments approved four new projects totaling 780 million euros across energy, networks, innovation, and tourism sectors.
The approved projects include:
1. A CO₂ capture facility at the TITAN plant in Kamari, Boeotia, valued at 583.79 million euros, part of the iFESTOS initiative. This project aims to establish a Single Large Unit Business Park along with cutting-edge green technologies.
2. United Fiber’s development of a broadband fiber optic network, costing 93.4 million euros, designed to serve at least 1.6 million households by 2027. This initiative is crucial for the country’s digital transformation.
3. The Hermes project by Intracom Telecom, with a budget of 42.9 million euros, focuses on creating an integrated wireless network featuring advanced wireless transmission and fixed wireless access (FWA) technologies, benefiting rural and suburban areas. It will be executed in Paiania, Thessaloniki, and Patras, with a focus on export potential.
4. A public investment by the municipality of Preveza, totaling 60 million euros, aimed at developing a multi-thematic tourist complex in the “Poros – Diavati” area, spanning over 200 stremmas. The complex will include 236 beds, wellness facilities, and cultural infrastructure. Enterprise Greece is overseeing the project’s maturation and tendering processes to attract private investors through an international competitive bid.
Additionally, the Commission approved modifications to the shareholding structures for previously assigned renewable energy projects in Thessaly and Central Greece.
These investments complement a separate 41.2 million euro investment by FRACASSO HELLAS in Larissa, which has been recognized as a Flagship Investment of Exceptional Importance.
