According to ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst, Giannis Antetokounmpo is likely to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks. On the network’s “Get Up” program, Windhorst mentioned that there are no anticipated trades involving the two-time NBA MVP this summer, with both the Bucks and Antetokounmpo dedicated to their ongoing collaboration.
“In the near future, there will be no trade involving Giannis Antetokounmpo,” Windhorst stated. “The league has acknowledged that the Bucks intend to keep him, and Giannis has no plans to request a trade. I can’t predict what might occur in August.”
Recently, Antetokounmpo, who joined the Bucks in 2013 and led them to an NBA Championship in 2021, voiced his ambition to return to the NBA Finals with the team.
While there have been no official discussions between Giannis and the Bucks’ management, the mood in Milwaukee indicates a strong belief that the Greek superstar is committed to the franchise.
The Bucks are also planning significant roster adjustments to enhance their chances of contending for another championship around Antetokounmpo.
Last season, Antetokounmpo averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game, finishing third in the MVP voting.
