Qatar has announced its close collaboration with the United States and Egypt to address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and to bring an end to the ongoing conflict. The country’s ambassador to the United Nations, Aliya Ahmed Saeif Al-Thani, stated that discussions regarding the current proposal are intensifying.
“We are committed to finding a resolution to the dire situation in Gaza,” the ambassador highlighted during a press conference at the UN. She emphasized that the primary goal is to cease hostilities immediately and deliver significant humanitarian support to those affected.
Since the onset of the conflict, Qatar has served as a crucial mediator, facilitating intense negotiations and maintaining dialogue with Hamas. Doha has emerged as a pivotal diplomatic center for managing the crisis, working towards bridging divides and achieving a ceasefire agreement.
