Today, three students were injured in a knife attack at a school in Pirkala, southwestern Finland. The police reported that the suspect, who is also a student at the school, has been arrested.
According to police spokeswoman Nina Yurako, the three injured students are not facing life-threatening injuries. She also confirmed that authorities are looking into reports suggesting the attacker may have specifically targeted girls during the incident.
Footage released by the Finnish newspaper Aamulehti shows police vehicles stationed near the primary school in Pirkala, located about 180 kilometers north of Helsinki.
