The community of Trikala is in profound sorrow following a tragic discovery: an 83-year-old mother and her 55-year-old son were found dead by relatives in their home in the village of Georganades, located within the municipality of Farkadona.
As reported by protothema.gr, there are two other children in the family, both 50 years old, who are dealing with mental disabilities.
When questioned by police about why they hadn’t notified authorities regarding the deaths, the family members replied that they hadn’t called the police because “they didn’t ask.”
Reports indicate no signs of foul play, suggesting that the son likely died first, followed by the mother.
Authorities from the Farkadona Police Department and ambulance personnel were dispatched to the scene, where they confirmed the deaths.
The two deceased were discovered by relatives who visited their home after several days without contact.
