Eurovision 2025: Klavdia Will Take the Stage Solo — Featuring Her Grandmother’s Dress and Earrings
Today, the Greek delegation held a press event at the Megaron Music Hall, where Klavdia and her team unveiled the first details about the song “Asteromata.”
Fokas Evangelinos, the performance director, revealed that Klavdia will begin her performance solo, with a guest joining her later. He dismissed rumors about the use of mirrors, stating clearly that they will not be part of the show.

Evangelinos commented on Klavdia’s attire, noting that it has been carefully designed to complement rather than overshadow her performance. He shared his personal connection to the piece, expressing that it resonates deeply with him as someone from Messolonghi, where the themes of uprooting are significant.
He elaborated: “For most of the performance, she will be alone on stage, with just a brief appearance from another performer towards the end. The outfit is a stunning creation that emerged from thoughtful discussions. Every element on stage is intended to harmonize with and elevate Klavdia; I will ensure nothing detracts from her—neither the lighting, visuals, nor the costume.”

He further praised Klavdia’s voice, saying, “Klavdia sings not just with her voice but with her spirit, creating an emotional resonance. She has a unique ability to draw listeners into her story, one rooted in her grandparents’ experiences.”
Klavdia shared that she will don her grandmother’s earrings on stage and plans to keep her signature glasses. Reflecting on a recent rehearsal involving a stand-in performer, she expressed her emotional response to the visual setup, which helped check lighting, angles, and overall effects before departing for the contest.

As for her travel preparations to Switzerland, Klavdia stated, “I haven’t packed yet, but the first item I’ll include is a small eye charm made of wool—an incredible handmade talisman. I’ve always dreamed about performing, but I didn’t expect it to come true so quickly.”

Regarding the lyrics of “Asteromata,” composer Arcade explained that while they initially considered English lyrics, they decided against it, feeling it would come off as artificial and disrespectful to the audience.
As previously mentioned, Jenny Theona is set to announce Greece’s twelve points during the Eurovision final.
