Inflation in Greece rose to 3.3% in May, up from 2.6% in April, based on preliminary data from Eurostat.
Conversely, the consumer price index in the Eurozone declined to 1.9%, down from 2.2% in April.
This drop below the ECB’s target now opens the door for the central bank to potentially implement another 25 basis point rate cut at its upcoming meeting on Thursday, June 5.
