As stated in a press release from the Prime Minister’s office, the Government Council for National Security (KYSEA) will convene for an emergency meeting at 19:00, led by Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to discuss recent developments in the region.
Additionally, Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias is scheduled to visit the Pentagon today to explore all potential scenarios on the ground.
In his weekly update shared on Facebook, the Prime Minister addressed the situation, urging for restraint and international cooperation. He stressed that Europe must respond effectively, with discussions anticipated in institutional forums next week, including the NATO Summit and the European Council.
“Europe must rise to the occasion for the sake of international peace and prosperity,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
