ElvalHalcor to Showcase Products at DEFEA 2025 for Diverse Defense Applications
In a recent announcement, ElvalHalcor revealed its participation in DEFEA 2025, highlighting its extensive range of products suited for the defense industry. The company serves large international industries, establishing itself as a crucial component in the “value chain” for defense equipment manufacturing in Greece and across Europe.
Specifically, Halcor and its subsidiaries (part of ElvalHalcor’s copper division) produce copper alloy strips for small and medium caliber ammunition, as well as cups for the creation of small caliber ammunition shells and bullets. They also manufacture thick copper alloy discs and sheets intended for medium and large caliber missiles.
ElvalHalcor’s aluminum rolling sector boasts a strong global footprint in the defense sector, supplying materials for a variety of applications, including ships, unmanned marine vessels, armored vehicles, anti-missile systems, and mobile operational booths.
Having completed specialized projects in numerous countries, the company is a key supplier for various naval and coast guard initiatives. Notably, Elval has provided over 25,000 tons of aluminum for U.S. Navy programs, utilized in the construction of diverse ships, including special alloys designed for aircraft carriers.
Additionally, Elval contributed to the construction of the warships Okyalos and Agenor, producing plates and sheets made from special aluminum alloys for armor and initiating a program for aviation alloys. ElvalHalcor, along with Sidenor, the steel division of Viohalco, is jointly participating in DEFEA.
