“El. Venizelos: traffic up 8.5% in the first five months of the year – 11.62 million passengers

In May 2025, Athens airport recorded 3.1 million passengers, marking a 2.9% increase compared to the previous year.

According to the announcement from El. Venizelos airport, domestic travel saw a decline of 2.1% compared to 2024, while international passenger numbers rose, surpassing 2024 figures by 5%.

Overall, passenger traffic for the first five months of the year totaled 11.62 million, representing an 8.5% increase.
