An eco-terrorist splashed pink paint on a Picasso artwork displayed at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts as a protest against environmental destruction and climate change.
Video footage posted on social media by the climate activist group Last Generation Canada captures the moment paint is thrown on the piece—a 1901 painting by Pablo Picasso titled L’hetaire.
Following the incident, one protester was seen being escorted out of the museum by security personnel.
The group’s Instagram post features a statement from the protester, identified as Marcel, who is 21 years old.
