A seismic event measuring over 4 on the Richter scale was recorded on Sunday morning in Evia, with its epicenter near Prokopi. The tremor was strongly felt in various parts of Attica.
The Geodynamic Institute later revised the earthquake’s magnitude to 4.4 Richter, noting its location just 1 kilometer east of Prokopi, with a depth of 15.7 kilometers.
Meanwhile, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Institute reported the quake as having a magnitude of 4.5.
Interestingly, another seismic occurrence was detected earlier at 02:52, registering a magnitude of 4.1 in northern Evia.
This quake’s epicenter was situated 3 kilometers east of Prokopi, and the Geodynamic Institute reported its depth to be 14.4 kilometers.
This tremor was also felt across Attica and Fthiotida.
