AKTOR Group has announced the signing of a binding agreement to acquire a portfolio of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) projects, boasting a total capacity of 19.8 MW. This move aligns with the Group’s strategic planning, aimed at generating new revenue streams in the years ahead.
Through its subsidiary, “AKTOR SOLAR KILKIS SINGLE-MEMBER SOCIETE ANONYME,” AKTOR will take ownership of 100% of the operational photovoltaic power plants, which are located in the Regional Unit of Kilkis and have a combined capacity of 19.8 MW.
Alexandros Exarchou, Chairman and CEO of AKTOR Group, commented: “We are actively executing our strategic plan to develop a robust energy portfolio. This initiative is designed to diversify our revenue sources, enhance value for our shareholders, and support Greece’s transition to greener energy solutions.
As previously stated, we plan to invest at least 1 billion euros in acquisitions by 2025 to broaden our reach across all business lines within the Group. Renewable energy sources are not only the future of the sector but also provide significant synergies and advantages, thanks to the extensive experience, know-how, and capabilities of our team.”
The estimated final net price for the acquisition is approximately 7.5 million euros. The transaction, which is subject to standard closing conditions typical for such agreements, is anticipated to be finalized within three months.
