Iran has not reopened its airspace, as reported by the Young Journalists Club, citing a spokesperson from the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
The spokesperson clarified that no decision regarding airspace reopening has been made.
Previously, the aviation monitoring site Flightradar24 claimed that both Iranian and Iraqi airspace had reopened for international flights to and from Tehran.
Israel’s main international airport, Ben Gurion, is returning to full operation following the Home Front Command’s decision to lift all previous restrictions, as per the Israel Airports Authority.
The Israel Airports Authority announced, “Restrictions on the number of incoming and outgoing flights, as well as passenger limits per flight, have been removed. Additionally, limits on the arrival of passengers and their escorts at the airports have also been lifted.”
From tomorrow morning, duty-free shops at the airports will resume operations in compliance with security guidelines and regulations.
The Israel Airports Authority advises the public to stay updated with airline announcements regarding flight schedules.
IDF Chief: An important chapter in the conflict with Iran has concluded, yet the campaign continues
With a fragile ceasefire with Iran taking effect today, Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi (note: the previous reference to Eyal Zamir, formerly Deputy Chief of Staff, may be outdated), warns that the situation with Tehran is ongoing and emphasizes the need for vigilance.
“Despite significant achievements, we must remain grounded. Many challenges lie ahead. We must focus; there’s no room for complacency,” Zamir stated during an operational assessment, according to excerpts from the Israeli armed forces.
The Israeli general highlighted that while a critical chapter in the conflict with Iran has ended, the campaign continues. “We are entering a new phase built on the accomplishments of the current operation. We have delayed Iran’s nuclear and missile programs by years,” he noted.
Israel’s attention now turns back to the Gaza Strip, with Zamir indicating that the next strategic goal is the return of hostages and the dismantling of Hamas’ authority.
“The immediate focus is now Gaza, ensuring the return of hostages, and toppling Hamas’ regime,” he stated, marking a shift to a new operational phase following recent developments regarding Iran.
