A climate change activist staged a protest at Trump Tower in New York City, resulting in his arrest after he spray-painted the word “USA” in green inside the building.
The activist used green spray paint to deface a plaque in the Manhattan location before kneeling in front of it with his eyes closed.
Within moments, onlookers gathered, some capturing images of the protester, as a security officer approached. The activist revealed a small banner reading “Game Over” alongside the Extinction Rebellion logo.
As reported by the New York Post, the protester was taken into custody. He exclaimed, “This is your country. This is our country. This is our planet. You cannot destroy it without a response. They are destroying the planet for profit.”
