The amateur sports club (A.S.) PAOK has officially announced that Aristotelis (Telis) Mystakidis will personally finance and oversee the construction of the new Toumba Stadium.
Full Announcement:
During the regular Board of Directors meeting on Monday, June 16, 2025, the following topics were addressed:
- Discussion about the PAOK Fan Card, which will be launched this year in collaboration with PAOK FC. The card aims to financially support the club’s amateur divisions through season ticket sales and individual match tickets for PAOK FC games at Toumba Stadium. A working group from the amateur club will partner with a corresponding team from PAOK FC to ensure the initiative coincides with the release of season tickets. Additional information will be provided soon.
- The board committed to a strategic initiative to enhance all club departments in preparation for PAOK’s 100th anniversary, ensuring active involvement from all stakeholders and the PAOK fan base.
- Sponsorship opportunities were reviewed, particularly in connection with the 100th anniversary of PAOK’s founding.
- Following the June 2, 2025 General Assembly of PAOK FC, which tasked A.S. PAOK with overseeing the new stadium construction, the board took these actions:
- A statement reaffirmed that A.S. PAOK is committed and, with fan support, will strive to make the new stadium a reality.
- There was a waiting period for any potential denial or new statement from the club that PAOK FC would take charge of the project—no such statement was received.
- Faced with intense pressure and calls from fans urging action for the new stadium and investment, our commitment to seeing this project through mobilized the entire PAOK community.
Thanks to the efforts of PAOK supporters, we connected with Mr. Aristotelis Mystakidis, a devoted PAOK supporter and Thessaloniki native.
We held extensive discussions regarding PAOK, particularly the significant endeavor of constructing our new stadium.
After multiple conversations, he agreed to personally finance the construction of a new UEFA-standard stadium for PAOK in Toumba, replacing the existing one.
Today, the Board of Directors of A.S. PAOK has empowered its President, Athanasios Katsaris, to sign a cooperation agreement with Aristotelis Mystakidis for the new stadium project in Toumba.
