The National Security Governmental Council (KYSEA) held an emergency meeting for over 1.5 hours on Friday afternoon following significant events in the Middle East triggered by Israel’s attack on Iran.
The Prime Minister made an urgent return from Sweden, where he was working to enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the economy and defense sectors.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement in light of the state of emergency declared in Israel after the strikes on Iranian targets. Greek citizens currently in Israel were advised to remain in safe locations near shelters and to adhere strictly to local authorities’ instructions.
Additionally, the Ministry urged the international community to take measures to avert a regional conflict.
