Authorities apprehended a 37-year-old man following two assaults in Exarchia and Alexandra Boulevard within a 24-hour span.
This individual is suspected of attacking a 67-year-old woman in Exarchia on Thursday afternoon. Despite being sought by law enforcement, he struck again the following morning, this time assaulting a 37-year-old man.
According to statements from both victims, the assailant attacked without any provocation, delivering violent blows to their heads.
In the latter incident, he confronted the 37-year-old on Alexandra Avenue, ordered him to remove his headphones, and then punched him in the face without warning. Upon his arrest, police discovered a pair of scissors and cutters in his bag.
A security camera from a nearby café captured patrons reacting to the commotion, running to check on the situation. Shortly after, the victim entered the café asking for tissue to clean his face.
