He completed an incredible 16 jumps from a helicopter, using parachutes soaked in fuel and ignited—a record unmatched by any other actor or stunt performer, according to the official Guinness Records account.
This thrilling scene was filmed in South Africa’s Drakensberg Mountains, with Cruise and his team preparing for weeks. The actor leaped from a helicopter at over 75,000 feet, using a flaming parachute. During the descent, he disconnected from the main parachute and activated a backup to ensure a safe landing.
